CPRE Hertfordshire has submitted a detailed objection to this development proposal, based on a number of grounds. These include policies SP5 and SP9 of the North Hertfordshire Local Plan, the site location within the designated Rural Area Beyond the Green Belt and adjacent to the Green Belt itself, loss of Grade 2 Best and Most Versatile agricultural land, impact on the nearby River Ivel chalk stream, and potential fire risk.
